As a Lifelong Horticulturist his main focus is on Garden + Landscape Design & Consultancy. He has undertaken many small and larger projects working directly with Clients and also through other professionals such as Architects & Planners.

Day 6 of the Brightwater Holidays “Irish Rover”’tour of the Gardens of Ireland. Today we transferred from Dublin to Cork with a stop at the fab Mount Usher. Enjoy the pics. With an enjoyable Coffee stop at The House of Waterford.

Day 1 & 2 of the Brightwater Holidays “Irish Rover”’tour of the Gardens of Ireland. Day 1 after arriving in Belfast Int we visited Mount Stewart. Day 2 - the overnight rain stopped in time for our first visit - Rowallane Gardens followed by a visit to Castle Ward and the charming picturesque of Strangford Town.

Day 5 Brightwater Holidays “Irish Rover” tour of the Gardens of Ireland. We started in Blessington with a visit to Jimi Blake’s “Unique” Hunting Brook. Followed by the Hop, Skip and Jump to his sister June Blake’s garden. The weather was very kind for our traverse thro the Wicklow Mountains to Powerscourt Estate via the Sally Gap

Day 3 of the Brightwater Holidays “Irish Rover”’tour of the Gardens of Ireland. Today we left N Ireland and journeyed to Dublin where we will spend 3nights. We visited Malahide Castle and the Talbot Botanic Gardens followed by an unscheduled Visit to the National Botanic Gardens at Glasnevin.

Day 4 Brightwater Holidays “Irish Rover” tour of the Gardens of Ireland. We started in Shankill with a visit to the “packed full” thrilling garden. Next was a visit to the (only) 2yr old garden of Val & Helen Dillon garden and finally a visit the refreshing Italian style garden of Alfred Cochrane at Corke Lodge near Bray.
Days 1-4 to follow ASAP.

Day 5 Final day of the Brightwater Holidays/Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Tour of Gardens of Northern Ireland. Sadly but fortunately this was the only wet day of the tour. Visit one was to Benvarden House & Garden before lunch in the Causeway Hotel prior to experiencing the marvel that is The Giant’s Causeway. 😀🌞👍

Day 4 of the Brightwater Holidays/Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Tour of Gardens of Northern Ireland. Visit one was to Ballyrobert Cottage Garden before a tour of Antrim Castle Gardens. The final visit of the day was to the multi theme garden experience at Holly Garden in the Crumlin Hills. 😀🌞👍

Day 3 of the Brightwater Holidays/Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Tour of Gardens of Northern Ireland. Visit one was to the charming yet expansive gardens at Nat Trust Rowallane before an early afternoon visit to the Henry private garden in Newtownards. The final visit of the day was to the Int Rose Trials at Sir Thomas & Lady Dixon Park in Belfast. Today’s “Trevor Treat” on the way back to the Hotel was to Queens University Belfast 😀🌞👍

Day 2 of the Brightwater Holidays/Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Tour of Gardens of Northern Ireland. Simply one of those memorable NI Garden days!
First was to the incomparable Mount Stewart garden on the Ards Peninsula then on to the charm and and intimacy of a visit to the gardens of Grey Abbey House in the company of the enthusiastic, knowledgeable and engaging Mrs Daphne Montgomery. All of that plus a few “Trevor Treat”.

Radisson Blu, Belfast will be home for the next five days while Managing a Brightwater Holidays For the Friends of Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh Tour of Gardens of Northern Ireland. The tour started with a visit to Belfast Botanic Gardens followed by a visit to the charming Adrian Walsh Belfast Garden.

Day 6 (final day) of Brightwater Tour with The Arts Society South West Area - Tour in N Ireland. 1st Stop was the Titanic Experience before a walk on a hot summers day down the River Lagan to HMS Caroline 🌞

Day 4 of The Arts Society South West Area’s 5 Day tour of N Ireland. 1st Visit of today was to Parliament Buildings at Stormont then on to Mount Stewart House & Gardens then on to Grey Abbey House. The final official final visit of the day was to Clandeboye Estate followed by a “Trevor Treat” Visit to the Gormleys “Arts in the Garden” Exhibition at the Culloden Hotel. Wow. Another exciting day touring in wonderful Northern Ireland!

Day 3 of The Arts Society South West Area’s 5 Day tour. 1st Visit of today was to Rowallane Gardens then on to Castle Ward before taking the ferry from Strangford to Portaferry for a superb visit the Ballywalter Park.

Trevor is a frequent contributor to the Radio U105 and BBC NI radio programme Gardeners Corner. He has  presented television gardening on BBCtv, RTE and UKGold.

He is widely regarded as an expert and regularly lectures on the Gardens of Ireland and has lectured in many parts of the world on the topic. He acts as an expert guide to Garden Tour operators and runs Plantsman's Garden Tours which offers Expert Guiding and specialist Garden tours into and out of Ireland.

He has worked closely with the Northern Ireland Tourist Board and Tourism Ireland to promote Garden Tourism into Northern Ireland & the Rep of Ireland.

Trevor is honoured to be a member of the Garden Writers Association. He contributes regularly to various magazine and tourism publications.

He also greatly interest in the Gardens of Italy and has even undertaken some garden consultancy work in the Sorrento area!
